The service pack cleanup tool has been renamed for SP2. The command is now compcln.exe.
Run this command from the command line. After running this command you WILL NOT be able to uninstall SP2.

  1. Thanks for the heads up on that Eric. A useful bit of info.
    However as much as I welcome Vista SP2 I’m finding myself using Windows 7 more and more now. To me it runs as fast as XP but with all the perks of Vista :)

  2. Great info. Just got a new Lenovo laptop with Vista Home 64, and its good to already see news on SP2.

    Plus all your XP tweaking/info/everything is fantastic, thanx!
