When repartitioning a single partition hard drive to seperate the OS from data, should the user loaded programs (office, itunes,….) go on the OS partion or the data partion?
Your guide and articles have been a big help to me. I recently bought an HP from Best Buy and am trying to remove all the unnecessary preinstalled stuff and set up a system that will mimimize problems in the future.
A few other questions: Is 20 or 30 gigs for the OS partion really enough for the OS and programs like Office, Quicken,Photoshop,Illustrator….? What do you run out of space in your primary partion?
I use True Image 2009 for all my OS backups and Disk Director 11.0 for all my partitioning and dual-boot requirements. TweakHound readers often get a discount off Acronis Products.
