Restoring Your Disk/Partition

To restore the partition containing XP you should boot from the Acronis Boot CD.

Other partitions can be restored from the normal application.

 

If you are using the program from within XP:

Open TI and click on Recovery. Click Next

 

If you are using the Boot CD:

Insert the CD and boot up. Your BIOS must be configured to boot from CD. A screen will pop up, choose "Full Version". After TI loads click on Recovery. Click Next.

 

 

 

Browse to your saved image in the left pane, highlight it by clicking on it once and click Next.

 

Choose Restore disks or partitions, click Next

 

Make the appropriate choice. In this case Disk 1. Click Next.

 

Pick the drive you want to restore. Be sure you have choosen the right one! Click Next.

 

Full OS backups should choose Yes, I want to delete all... click Next

 

 

Yes or No???!!! Usually "No", click Next.

 

Most users should Use default options, click Next.

 

Double-check you got everything right. (If you were trying to do the drive XP is on you'll see the little reboot screen)

Click Proceed.

 

The process will begin. When finished you should see this. Click OK.

 

 

If you were using the Boot CD:

Remove the boot media and exit out of all the windows. TI will reboot your computer. If for some reason something went wrong, reboot with the TI disk and try it again.
