How To Use Windows XP System Restore

(Manually create a restore point)

Open System Restore

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore.

or from the Run Box:

Start > Run > type (or copy and paste): C:\WINDOWS\system32\Restore\rstrui.exe

(actually, in most browsers you can just click on the link)

In the resulting screen click the circle next to Create a restore point and click Next

In the resulting screen, give the restore point a title in the box under Restore point description.

I used "b4 install antivirus" as an example. Click Create and XP will do it's thing.
