I rode my mountain bike through Back Bay Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park last weekend.
I ran over this guy. I’m pretty sure he is an Eastern Cottonmouth. I didn’t mean to and he seemed OK if somewhat pissed off. I only had time to turn and warn followers.
I took this pick at maximum zoom, ’cause, well…I don’t like snakes. He slithered off into the swamp.
