Virus software did NOT like the program – says it has Mal/Dorf-A as an infection.

Well it says I am vulnerable to Spectre, but I suppose that’s normal till ASUS puts out a BIOS update for my Z97 board.
I understand that it may be awhile for my Haswell since they started with Gen 6 chips (Z170 MB?)

      Do not update Haswell. https://www.computerworld.com/article/3247788/computer-hardware/intel-says-new-firmware-patches-trigger-reboots-in-haswell-and-broadwell-systems.html

That’s sort of what I figured. I’m checking with IT to turn “off” the virus package for this one. We’re a small shop but I have to get some outside support for stuff like this. Hopefully the information for Sophos will get updated soon too.

Probably had a hissy fit because it never saw the file before.

Thanks for the heads up Eric!

Only problem is on Win 10 Home you can’t control the updates. I put the Update service on manual and stopped in services menu. Will this work as far as MS updates go?

Disable it. I honestly can’t tell you for sure. Don’t have home only pro.
