I replied “it’s a problem” because it is, but what I REALLY wanted to say was “I don’t care” because I use openSUSE linux.

I do have Win10 on my machine, but the only thing they will learn about me is that I like to play Galactic Civilizations 3. At least until it is ported to Vulcan so it can run on linux.

I replied “Its not a problem”. But that is only because there is finally enough information out there to make Window 10 more private and secure…such as your guide!

There should be another option: Privacy is something you have manage everywhere you go, its a PITA but that is life, Microsoft is no different. Also, one should never “trust” a publicly traded company such as Microsoft. They exist to provide a return to shareholders. You should be conscience of privacy/information in the digital world and manage it accordingly. Frankly, I’m tired of this debate. Lets move on with our lives.
Thank You for the updates, however, keeping us informed – this is why I have this site marked.

Privacy is a problem when Microsoft deliberately keeps us in dark as to what precisely they are tracking. Or when they renamed The Diagnostics Tracking Service (DiagTrack) to the Connected User Experiences and Telemetry service. ***EDITED. Be nice!***. I believe that we should be constantly vigilant for our privacy’s sake.

Privacy is a great concern and MS is a problem, they no doubt were able to give Win 10 away for free with all of the grants and such they received from The NSA.
