Win10 KB3124200

win10_logo

December 18, 2015, 07:02(EST) By Eric (a.k.a. TweakHound)

win10_logoMicrosoft has released Cumulative Update KB3124200. This bumps the Windows version to 10586.36.
No real info because Microsoft thinks it’s funny not to tell you what they are doing to your computer.
“This update offers improved functionality for Windows 10 Version 1511.”

Yes, Megasoft are a bunch of comedians playing tricks and hide-and-seek on the unsuspected audience. I wonder if I reinstalled Dos 3.1 if they would try to upgrade it to Windows 10. You are on notice Megasoft. Let’s play.

Latest Windows 10 update (KB3124200) erases Word customizations, can break Edge, Outlook, File Explorer

Reports indicate that in at least some cases, KB 3124200 nukes all Microsoft Word customizations, including custom templates, AutoText, macros, envelope addresses, autocorrect, and AutoFormat settings. It also reverts any custom spell check options you may have stored. The problem is serious enough that Microsoft has published its own KB on fixing the issue, KB 3129969.

    Hi Eric,

Thank for posting the link that debunks the buggy patch claim. It is bad enough to have MS acting unprofessionally with non-descript and forced updates and then have the supposed “experts” post claims they have never proven and propagate the misleading info all over the internet. Users beware.
