Every sane person worries about privacy issues online. IMHO, Win10 causes legitimate privacy concerns. However, there is the “tinfoil hat brigade” that IMHO takes things way too far. I haven’t wanted to jump the gun on addressing these issues. This sites first rule of tweaking has always been “Primum non nocere” (first, do no harm).

Windows 10 Dark Theme
This info isn’t new, I didn’t discover it, and it’s all over the web.
It’s been out for months, I don’t know who found it first or I would give them credit.
I’m using it, but it isn’t for everyone. I’ve posted pics below. Notice the title bar is hard to read.

Skylake, Meh?
The NDA on Intel’s new Skylake processors has been lifted and the reviews are pouring out.
The gist I’m getting:
– If you are on Sandy Bridge then upgrade.
– If you are on Ivy Bridge, Haswell, or Broadwell then it probably isn’t worth it.

Fix Windows 10 0x80300024 Error
On attempting to clean install Win10 on a laptop I got lazy and I failed to follow my own advice.
I usually disconnect all drives except the one I’m going to install the OS on and run diskpart to wipe. I didn’t this time because I was too lazy and didn’t feel like spending the time to disconnect my second SSD. I got the error 0x80300024 during install. I Googled it and apparently this error has been happening for years. The fix?
Disconnect all other drives and attempt the install again. That’s it!
