*tip – For some of the folks getting errors. I’ve found that you must be using a normal sized taskbar (taskbar properties > use small icons).
WinBubbles 2.0.3.2 Released
WinBubbles is a “tweaking” app. Mainly I use it for customization rather than performance tweaks.
It’s been a while since it was last updated and is now Windows 7 ready. Lots of new stuff in there.

Nvidia 197.13 Drivers
Nvidia has released Beta (WHQL candidate) drivers, version 197.13. ” This driver resolves fan speed issues reported with version 196.75 drivers. ”

Nvidia 196.75 Drivers (WHQL) – Update
Nvidia GeForce/ION Driver Release 196.75 available for XP, Vista, & Seven.
Download page seems to be having issues. Hit the Nvidia forum post for download links.
FWIW – I tried them and although I notice no issues my error log contains the following:
Service Control Manager Error 7016 – “The NVIDIA Stereoscopic 3D Driver Service service has reported an invalid current state 0.”
I’m going back to the previous version.

It seems there are issues with this driver. From the forum post:
“To users reporting fan speed issues with the latest 196.75 WHQL drivers from nvidia.com. Until we can verify and root cause this issue, we recommend that customers stay with, or return to 196.21 WHQL drivers. Release 196.75 drivers have been temporarily removed from our website.“
Thunderbird 3.0.3
Mozilla Thunderbird 3.0.3 fixes the following bug: Local Folders “account” has disappeared from the left hand folder pane with v3.0.2. Download it or update within the program.

StartOrbz is a program for creating and applying start orbs. I have not used it.
I use Windows 7 Start Button Changer to change my start orb.

My attempt at making a start orb (no after effects (click), just hover)
It should be noted that all my desktops / taskbars are dark (black / grey) so I’ve no idea how they look on other colors:
