    Hi Eric,

Thank you for the info. All the patched installed. I would caution everyone to create a restore point before updates. “Connected User Experience and Telemetry” has not been tampered with.

Why would GWX be an issue in Win10? I thought it would only pop up for earlier Windows versions!

Updates were for all Windows, not just Win10.

I got a bunch of Office 2010 updates. This is the first time that MS updates messed up my Office settings. A number of Outlook options were changed to default and the “customize ribbon” and “quick access tool bar” columns are blank. Those options are visible in MSWord and Excel.

In Outlook, reading pane customization does not not get saved. Neither does “Empty deleted item folders when exiting”. I guess I will have to reinstall Office and see what happens.

Looks like Microsoft messed you up – I had tons of issues and in researching it found the ‘patch’ KB 3114409 was causing problems. Here is just one reference on it: http://www.infoworld.com/article/3013219/microsoft-windows/microsoft-pulls-botched-patch-kb-3114409-that-triggered-problems-with-outlook-2010.html

I uninstalled that patch and everything was back to working. Hope this helps.
