No release notes as usual and I cannot find a clue in the install guide as to what the update is about. I suspect it may have to do with “rapid health drops” of the 990 Pros.

Could the problem plausibly be caused by the inferior silicon that Samsung is utilizing as a result of the current chip shortage?

This is link I had based my concerns on. It’s 2 years old so maybe things have changed, but as a fellow consumer I do not enjoy getting hoodwinked.

I have no clue. Could not find anything more after that article sadly. When you had posted about the life of peoples m.2s made me think about it again. It just seems to me that its something samsung could try again on us. I hate saying this, but we the consumer cannot know for sure.
