We Are Still Living the Legacy of World War II by Tom Hanks
“Act II ended 75 years ago in a defining moment of unconditional surrender. Most of the victors are gone now, all those sailors and soldiers, airmen and nurses. Younger eyewitnesses to the war are passing on. Those of us alive now acknowledge, sadly, that Act III — After the War — which began before the ink was dry on the Articles of Surrender — will never end, not in any equal measure of satisfaction. Disinformation is now a weapon and a currency. Tyrants reign around the world. Wars are waged in stalemates. Seventy-five years ago, it seemed that a grand contract had been agreed upon by all the nations of the world, that our common efforts had created a common purpose, born of the horrible lessons learned in World War II.“

FAQ – Why haven’t you updated the Win10 tweak guide?
A –
Writing the tweak guide takes considerable time. Even when changes for a version of Win10 aren’t major, it changes enough where wording needs to be altered and all new screenshots need to be taken. I have to basically do this twice, once for the online version, and once for the PDF. It is a PITA with little return on investment.
I had fully intended on doing an update for the current version (2004) but I had to roll back to the previous version. Like so many updates from Microsoft anymore, this one broke several things. One of the things I’ve always prided myself on is that the guides I write reflect how I actually use the operating system.
Right now, life is busy and this site is just a hobby. I very much hope to get a new version out this fall but that depends on Microsoft as much as it does me.
Thanks for hanging with me y’all.
